Long-time Construction Law section president, Jeff Leonard, is stepping down. Jeff has served as section president since…..and will continue to be a member of the section and serve as past president. Jeff is a member of Triplett Woolf Garretson, LLC, where he has practiced since graduating from Washburn University School of Law in 1990. He focuses his practice on all aspects of construction law and alternative dispute resolution. Jeff’s diverse clientele includes project owners and developers, general and specialty contractors, equipment and material suppliers, and design professionals, involved in projects and disputed matters across the United States. Outside the practice of law, Jeff enjoys sailing and traveling with family and friends. Jeff and his wife, Ronnie, have four adult children, two grand-dogs, one grand-cat, and a grand-gecko.
We're pleased to share that Heather Shore has been appointed by KBA President Mark A. Dupree, Sr. as section president. Heather is a member of Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice. She is a well-recognized construction and surety litigator with nearly 30 years of experience handling high-stakes construction and commercial litigation. Heather is co-chair of Baker Sterchi’s Construction Practice Group and serves on the American Arbitration Association’s Panel of Construction and Commercial Arbitrators. She frequently speaks at local and national conferences, including the American Bar Association, Construction Super Conference, and Defense Research Institute, on issues affecting the construction industry. Heather received her JD from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
