Kansas has a rich history of pioneering women who have shaped our legal landscape, from courthouse to classroom, from private practice to public service. These trailblazers have not only broken barriers but have also made a lasting impact on Kansas. Now is the time to recognize their achievements.

The Kansas Bar Association is seeking nominations for outstanding women lawyers and legal pioneers who have made significant contributions to the law in Kansas. Whether they've fought landmark cases, mentored the next generation of legal professionals, advanced legislative reform, or championed justice in our communities, their stories deserve to be told and celebrated.

Consider nominating:

· Historical figures who broke barriers in Kansas law

· Innovators and mentors who opened doors for women lawyers

· Practicing attorneys who have demonstrated excellence in their field

· Public servants who have strengthened our justice system

· Judges who have shown exceptional leadership from the bench

· Legal educators who have inspired countless students

· Advocates who have advanced important legal reforms

Your nomination will help ensure that the contributions of women from the early pioneers to present are recognized, celebrated, and preserved for future generations. Every story matters, and every nomination helps paint a fuller picture of the vital role women have played in shaping Kansas jurisprudence.

Nominees and honorable mentions will be featured in an exhibit at the Kansas Bar Association Annual Meeting on Friday, June 6, 2025, and in an exclusive publication.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, February 21. Don't let these important stories go untold. Submit your nomination today and help us honor their legacy.
