KBA to Sponsor Reception for Newly Sworn-in Kansas Attorneys

(April 23, 2008) Topeka, KS—The Kansas Bar Association (KBA) will host a champagne reception Friday, April 25 to honor 170 new admittees to the Kansas Bar. The reception will immediately follow the swearing-in ceremony, which is scheduled for 9:40 a.m. at the Topeka Performing Arts Center at 214 S.E. 8th Ave. in Topeka. KBA President Linda S. Parks, Hite Fanning & Honeyman LLP, Wichita, will present the newly admitted attorneys with a complimentary, one-year membership to the KBA.

Chief Justice Kay McFarland, Kansas Supreme Court, will preside over the swearing-in of the new Kansas attorneys. Carol Green, clerk of the Kansas Supreme Court, will administer the Kansas Oath, and Timothy M. O’Brien, clerk of the Federal Court, will administer the Federal Oath.
